The Imo PDP gubernatorial candidate in the 2019 general elections, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, CON, KSC has restated his belief that it is only the PDP that can make Nigeria work again and rebuild Imo State.

He made the remark in his address to the good people of Owerri North Local Government Area (LGA) during the Imo PDP Campaign Rally in the area Friday, January 18, 2019.

Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha took time to remind the people how Nigeria was enjoying good life during the administrations of the PDP in Nigeria and Imo State. He called on the people to compare 1999-2015 of the PDP government with the 2015-2019 of the failed APC-Buhari regime.

According to the former Speaker of the House of Representatives and presiding officer of the National Assembly, a national legislator par excellence, Nigeria was better with PDP and that by the grace of God, Nigeria will from May 29 be better again with PDP.

He urged the people of Owerri North and indeed all the people of Imo State to go out on February 16 and vote massively for His Excellency, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and His Excellency, Dr. Peter Obi as the next president and vice president of Nigeria.

He also implored the people of Owerri North to troop out on the same February 16 to vote for Rt. Hon. Francis Ezenwa Onyewuchi as the senator of Owerri Zone and Hon. Ikenna Elezianya as the representative of Owerri Federal Constituency.

Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha pleaded with the people to go out in their large numbers on March 2nd and vote for Emeka Ihedioha as governor of Imo State with Hon. Gerald Irona as deputy governor, and Comrade Phillip Ejiogu as the representative of Owerri North State Constituency in the Imo State House of Assembly.

He reiterated that with the evident misgivings and confusion in the supposed ruling and other supposed major parties, it did not require a seer to tell Imo people that God has positioned PDP to liberate the people and rebuild the nation and Imo State. He therefore urged Imo people to vote for PDP at all levels.

In their turn, prominent leaders in Owerri North, including Ambassador Dr. Mrs. Kema Chikwe, Rt. Hon. Uche Onyeaguocha, Rt. Hon. Ezenwa Onyewuchi, Hon. Ikenna Elezianya, Comrade Phillip Ejiogu reassured that Owerri North remains a core PDP LGA and promised to deliver the area 5/5 to PDP.

The high point of the rally, that witnessed an unprecedented massive turnout of Owerri North people and their neighbours in Owerri Zone and other PDP leaders and members from Orlu and Okigwe Zones, was the handing over of the flags of the party to the party candidates namely Rt. Hon. Francis Ezenwa Onyewuchi, Hon. Ikenna Elezianya and Comrade Phillip Ejiogu by officials of the party.
