We are all set!

Where will you be on the 23rd of August 2019?

How many praise concerts have you attended this year? None? Then not to worry, the Catholic Praise Concert 2019 is here!

The Catholic Praise Concert is a one-day gospel music concert which has held annually since 2014. The second edition was in 2015, the third in 2017, and now the fourth edition which will hold this year.

This year’s edition of the Catholic Praise Concert will hold on the 23rd of August 2019, and is hosted by the Catholic Church of the Resurrection, Magodo, Lagos. It is the fourth edition of the biggest Catholic themed gospel concert in Nigeria, and most likely in Africa with an expected number of 10,000 people in attendance.

The venue for the event is the Supreme Education Foundation Sports Ground. This year’s Praise Concert is tagged “Praise for Extraordinary Grace”.

It will be an evening of melodious praise from some of the most talented gospel artists in Africa. It features praise, worship, dance, and special performances from invited guests. There is usually a mixture of Catholic and Non-Catholic ministrations, in the most contemporary style as you would know if you have attended past editions.

The Catholic Praise Concert welcomes all Christians from every denomination. Anyone can attend, and from all parts of Nigeria. The accreditation for the event begins at 4pm, the red carpet starts at 6pm and the Concert proper, will start at 8pm to end with the Holy Mass by dawn. Ministers for the event are some of the top gospel ministers in Nigeria, plus a surprise guest minister. Gospel ministers will be announced soon by a press conference.

It is a liturgical praise offering to God, where we will uplift our voices. It is the best place to come with your family and friends to worship God together in unity and harmony.

Since you’re here …

… we have a small favour to ask. More people are readingNigerian Catholic Reporter than ever but advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. And unlike many news organisations, we haven’t put up a paywall – we want to keep our journalism as open as we can. So you can see why we need to ask for your help. Nigerian Catholic Reporter’s independent, engagement journalism takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because of our strong desire to use this platform to redirect the warped thinking of perceived citizens of God’s kingdom towards biblical injunctions and God’s desired culture for His people.
If everyone who reads our reporting, who likes it, helps fund it, our future would be much more secure. For as little as N500, you can support Nigerian Catholic Reporter.

Thank you.
